Description:

The Elmore County Jail houses a variety of inmates; to include municipal, county, and inmates waiting to be transferred to the Alabama Department of Corrections. Inmates are incarcerated for crimes ranging from a violation, misdemeanors, and felonies. The Elmore County Jail operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week and may be contacted at 334-567-5441. The Elmore County Jail does not allow any property to be dropped off to any inmate without prior approval. Elmore County Jail inmates are allowed visitation, telephone, commissary, mail, and exercise privileges. Based upon behavior one or more privileges may be taken away without the friends and family being notified
